Books Read, to be Read, or to be Re-Read

There are so many now that I'm seeing red
Since Nourit one day started devouring books, I've felt this panic to keep the beast fed.
So a query last week on Facebook I post-ed,
For material she can read by a light in her bed.
Below is a compilation of what you all said.
Hopefully it all will go to her head.

Some we've read,
Some are to be read,
And some will definitely be re-read.

(First time poster- I'm a UC grad student who found your blog because I was looking for HP blogs)

I couldn't help but comment because this list has so many books that I enjoyed as a little girl on it! I wanted to add a few more books that I loved, reread many times, and still vividly remember in case you are looking to continue adding to this list.

Betsy, Tacy, and Tib series
Encyclopedia Brown Books
Half-Magic, by Edward Eager (there are a few other books in the series)
The Phantom Tollbooth
Indian in the Cupboard Series
The Castle in the Attic books
The Rats of NIMH books

And of course, the Wizard of Oz series is wonderful and easy to read.

Thanks so much, Maria! I loved the Betsy/Tacy books, too, and we just read the first Indian in the Cupboard and loved it. I didn't realize there were more. Yay for more good books!
